What To Expect

Funtours Desert Safari Dubai
Discover the history of the Emirates and Al Ain, a city in the desert with a population of 650,000 people, a good hour’s drive from Dubai and full of green oases. Visit the Heritage Village and museums that document the development over the past 40 years.

Visit the beautiful gardens with palm trees, learn about the irrigation techniques, and admire the Al Ain Oasis. At the various markets, watch the traders haggle over their prices – with wares ranging from fruits to camels. Even falcons play a special role in Al Ain at special farms where the expensive animals are trained and cared for.

Enjoy a meal in the home of a local family or at a selected restaurant, and enjoy delicious Arabic dishes. Traditionally, you sit on the floor and eat with your hands but beginners may use a knife and fork.

Jebel Hafeet, the highest mountain of the Emirates, is located in Al Ain. From here you can see as far as Oman. Below the mountain is the world’s unique mountain landscape of Green Mubazzarah.

We really enjoyed the extensive and wide-ranging tour of Al Ain: the zoo, hot springs, Jebel Hafeet with views into Oman, a camel market, an oasis park, the old fort, and the Al Ain Museum. Our driver / guide was patient, kind, and thoughtful. I highly recommend this day trip to see a different side of the UAE and to learn about the country's history.

greenery is beautiful

This was a good tour. The tour guide picked us up early and we headed to Al Ain. It was a pleasant ride and the tour guide was very informative. Once we arrived at Al Ain, we visited Al Jahili Fort, Al Ain National Museum and Sheikh Zayed Palace Museum. We drove up to the peak of the mountain. All and all great tour.

Tour was good... We requested to start the tour at 8 am sharp and it started sharp on time.. tour was organised in comfortable land cruiser. 1st spot was a palm plantations area which was ok types, nothing much to see arround. 2nd spot was a heritage museum, which was similar to ones seen in dubai and abu dhabi city tour. 3rd spot was a mountain top, which was beautiful, and there was no body on top except us. 4th was al ain zoo which was best but the negative point was we were given just 1 hour and it was insufficient. There were many animals but due to time constraint we were able to see just few.. after that we were taken to lunch at hayatt hotel. Lunch was ok, as vegetarian options were limited. There was a fly swimming in thick hummus and few on desserts... It was gross.. we complained about it to management and they replaced it.. also they made few vegetarian dishes for us...after that they took us to our hotel by 4pm. On the way, guide cum driver showed us few spots like sports complex and sultans palace while driving. He did not show us hot springs as mentioned in itinerary, and he told that camel market is closed too as it was Friday.. overall it was a okay type of experience with the only highlight being zoo. But the wild cats were too tired to come out in sun. They were very tired and sleepy. And for women, they ask you to cover knees and hand, they give the option of buying a stole for 15 dihrams... driver was a sheik, who played arabic music through out the journey. He was good and little friendly.
