My driver, Rizwan, was excellent! He was very helpful and flexible about the time spent at each site. Very nice guy!

Loved the museum and learned a lot! I would recommend more than an hour at this site if you can spare the time.

Laid back and relaxing Sharjah

The half-day tour to Sharjah was excellent. It was, indeed, worth venturing into a different emirate entirely as Sharjah is one of seven distinct emirates that form the UAE. We were picked up from our hotel in downtown Dubai on time. The coach was very comfortable. We were provided with earphones for the fully immersive audio history of buildings and landmarks passed along the route to Sharjah. A sweet date bar and a bottle of water was also offered at the beginning of the drive. Our driver, Mahir, took us to every spot advertised in the city excursion. We were given ample time - 30 minutes to an hour - to visit most of the city landmarks including King Faisal Mosque, Heritage Museum (which is a must see and offers an outstanding display of the history of Islam), Fort of Sharjah, Al Arsa Souk, and the Blue Souk! At the visually stunning Blue Souk we shopped for and purchased gold at a substantial discount (a bargain and below spot price for 1 oz). We even had spare time to sit at one of the souk’s cafes and enjoy a delicious cup of savory Karak tea. Sharjah is a bit of a change from Dubai city excursions and offers a more laid back, conservative ambiance in sharp contrast to the bustling and polished downtown Dubai and Jumeirah areas. Nevertheless, the Sharjah half-day trip is highly recommended for any traveler to experience another emirate.

Rizman had a wealth of knowledge! He was very kind and patient with all our questions. We enjoyed the city tour with him very much and hope to have him as our guide again! Great experience!!

Short Enjoyable excursion that could have been better

It was a great experience in the 4 hours of time. I must say, out of the 5 excursions I enjoyed during my trip, this one had the least interaction from the trip sponsored. I had to reach out over 3 times to confirm and ensure pickup. We drove one hour out of the way to drop people off during the 4 hour trip, so that was indeed frustrating, especially since we were rushed to end our trip. Had we been able to enjoy all of the 4 hours, I would have given 5 stars - more time at the shopping center would have been appreciated. The guide got a little irritated but took no accountability for being late or using one hour of our time to drop other passengers off.

Brief tour but exhilarating.

Trip to Sharjah

More focus was given on time going to the souks rather than driving around seeing more of Sharjah.

I would have preferred not spending time at the shopping malls.
